About Tara Jabbari

Hi, I’m TarA.
I was always drawn to storytelling through writing, documentaries, and conversations that go deeper than surface level. That’s what led me to study media production.
Over time, as I worked on different projects across media, I found my favorite form was podcasting. I also kept noticing the same thing. People had ideas but struggled to execute them. They had something to say, but the show itself wasn’t working. Episodes felt unstructured, and consistency was hard to maintain. And even when the content was good, it felt like it wouldn’t reach the right people.
So I started stepping in. I went from helping people shape episodes to helping them rethink direction entirely, from whom to bring on as guests to how the show should evolve over time.
Without realizing it, I became the person people relied on to make the show actually work. This became the work I’m passionate about.
I don’t just help people run their podcasts. I help turn them into shows. I believe a podcast succeeds when it has a clear direction, a consistent structure, and a system that connects it to the people it’s meant for.
I work at the intersection of creative problem solving, finding and connecting you with the right people, and getting sh*t done to turn your vision reality.

ACHIEVEMENTS

I pivoted when my film project stalled and turned the concept into Who Was She?, a documentary-style podcast. What started as a self-produced project, recorded with minimal equipment, has grown into a multi-season series with a dedicated global audience, with listeners from Australia to Norway. Along the way, I uncovered a unique niche, telling the stories of overlooked women in history and proving that meaningful ideas don’t need massive scale to make an impact.

As a rotating host and producer, we sit down and highlight the people behind screen-based media. I obtained high profile guests including Marvel, Blockbuster, & Netflix. I pioneered the press release material for our rebranding to major news outlets and podcasts newsletters including Podnews, EarBuds Podcast Recommendations, and The Observer’s Miranda Sawyer weekly newsletter. I also grew our listenership across all seven continents through incorporating YouTube shorts, cross promos, and guesting.
